Zane Vest

Lenoir – Zane David Vest, age 5, passed away on Tuesday, June 21, 2016 at Levine Children’s Hospital. He was born in Burke County on February 18, 2011 to Zachary Vest and Alivia Ashley. Zane will always be remembered as casting a bright ray of sunshine upon his family. Zane was preceded in death by his father, Zack Vest. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his maternal grandparents, Phillip and Tracy Ashley and Mary and Danny Swanson; paternal grandparents, Mike and Cindy Kale; aunts, Becca, Payton and Abby Kale and Sarah Swanson; uncles; Jack and Lane Swanson; aunt and uncle, Tosha and Derek Carter; and many other close family members and friends. A celebration of Zane’s life will be held at Mountain Grove Church on Saturday, June 25, 2016 at 4:30 PM. Interment will immediately follow the service at Blue Ridge Memorial Park. The family will receive friends in the fellowship hall of Mountain Grove Church from 3:00 until 4:30 prior to the service. The family respectfully requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials be sent to Levine Children’s Hospital, 1000 Blythe Blvd., Charlotte, NC 28203.
