William Ray Roark

William “Bill” Roark Lenoir, NC – William Ray Roark, Jr., age 53, passed away on Wednesday, June 26, 2013 at his residence. He was born in Watauga County on October 19, 1959 to the late William Ray Roark, Sr. and Vivian Neil Wilson Roark. He was the husband of Caroline Cassidy Roark of the home. Mr. Roark loved gardening and animals, especially his four-legged companion, Brewster and he enjoyed trips to Disney. He worked for more than 30 years for Thomasville Furniture. Mr. Roark was of Baptist faith. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his aunt, Bessie Wilson and grandmother, Ruth Farmer. Other than his wife, he is survived by his sons, Richard Roark of Orlando, FL and Daniel Roark of Lenoir; brother, Jerry Wilson of Mountain City, TN; sister, Joan Tedder of Fayetteville, NC; and numerous nieces, cousins, nephews, aunts, and uncles. A celebration of life service will be held at 12:00 P.M. on Saturday, June 29, 2013 in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service with Pastor Matt Moody officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM prior to the service in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service.
