Terry Lynn Dixon

Terry Lynn Dixon, age 64, of Lenoir passed away Sunday, November 1, 2020 at Caldwell UNC Healthcare.He was born February 19, 1956 in Caldwell County to the late Arthur Sr. and Susie Dula Dixon.In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by, one brother, Roddell Dixon; two sisters, Sylvia Dixon and Susan Dixon Dula and step-daughter, Ebony Greene. Survivors include his children; Winter Lanett Tugman of Lenoir, Terry Lynn Tugman of Lenoir, Shatera Lashay Dixon of Lenoir and Tylisha Lynn Dixon of Lenoir; two brothers, Arthur Dixon Jr., Bobby Dixon; one sister, Teresa Dixon Johnson (Rev. Eddie); grandchildren, Ajayia Bristol, Milon Wiggins, Zion Tugman, Kelis Ferguson-Greene, Chloe Harris, Terieon Davidson, Nivaryas Horton and Nashay Horton; three great-grandchildren, Wezlynn Bristol, Kaiden Wiggins and Harmony Wiggins; a long time special friend, Tammy Greene and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mr. Dixon was a member of New Covenant UMC and had previously worked for the Caldwell County School System as a custodian and school bus driver for many years. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, November 6, 2020 at Dulatown Community Memorial Cemetery, conducted by Rev. Eddie Johnson and Pastor Myer Dahn. Mr. Dixon will lie-in state from 12:30PM until 1:30PM at New Covenant UMC.Due to Covid-19, the family will receive friends at each of their respected homes. Serving as pallbearers and flower bearers will be family and friends. Per the family’s request, masks and social distancing will be required.
