Robert Mack Bowman

Robert Mack Bowman, 66, born May 12, 1956 in Miami Beach, Florida, died suddenly form a massive heart attack on May 30, 2022. His partner of seven years, Joyce Firestone, was at his side. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Bowman; mother, Mary A. “Fish Mary” (Nichols Cheatham) Bowman; a sister, Robin Bowman. Robert worked in the adaptive equipment field as a seating specialist. He started his career at United Cerebral Palsy (and three other companies). His passion for “disabled” individuals is legendary! He had just retired and moved to Lenoir, NC with Joyce and his beloved boxers, “Peaches and Tucker”. Robert was working on building a home on a nearby mountain top. He leaves behind a sister, Susan Kaye Bowman; half- brother, Max Cheatham and hundreds of friends and “clients”. He had a heart of gold! Robert created the websites “Raised in Miami Beach (Public)” and “Raised on Miami Beach (Private)”. We will be looking for a new administrator. A memorial will be arranged at a later date, possibly on zoom. Details are forthcoming. May he rest in peace.
