Rebecca Mcmichael

Rebecca Ann McMichael, age 68, of Hickory Falls Health & Rehabilitation, passed away on October 5, 2022 after a long battle with diabetes. Rebecca was born on March 15, 1954 in Orlando, Florida to the late Pelham Jackson (Jack) McMichael and the late Annie Lavelle Estes McMichael. After she graduated from Gamewell-Colletsville High School in 1972, she went on to work in the medical field as a transcriptionist. She worked for Caldwell Memorial Hospital for many years, as well as Collettsville Medical Center. Rebecca was married to Juan Castillo-Hinojosa.

Rebecca is survived by her daughter Wendy Spring Sipes Creswell; her grandchildren Joshua and Erin; her siblings, Leila McMichael, Margaret McMichael Langley, and Philip J. McMichael; and a large extended family including cousins, nieces, and nephews.

There will be a service held on Sunday, October 9, 2022 at 2:00 pm at Evans Funeral Service Chapel.

The family will receive guests on the day of the service from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Carolina Caring Hospice.
