Hudson – Mrs. Rebecca Ann Bryant Cole, age 80, passed away on Tuesday, August 16, 2016 at her residence. She was born in Caldwell County on April 22, 1936 to the late Oscar Grant Bryant and Minnie Jones Bryant. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Desmond Cole, Sr.; brother, Gary Bryant and sister, Phyllis Bryant. Mrs. Cole is survived by her son, Gerald Desmond Cole, Jr. and wife, Jane; daughter, Ellen Elizabeth Cole; daughter, Carol Cole MacClamrock and husband, Gerald; granddaughter, Amanda Brooke Polen and husband, Tom; great-grandchildren, Gianna Brooke Polen and Cole Thomas Polen; close nephew, Darren Bryant; sister-in-law, Barbara Bryant; and numerous nieces and nephews. A celebration for Mrs. Cole’s life will be held at Mt. Zion Baptist Church on Saturday, August 20, 2016 at 3:30 PM with Pastor Glenn Walker officiating. Burial will immediately follow the service at Poovey’s Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:30 Prior to the service.
