R.C. Haire

Hudson, NC- Mr. R.C. Haire, age 74, of Hudson went to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, May 31, 2018 at Caldwell UNC Healthcare.Born April 18, 1944 in Caldwell County, R.C. was a son of the late Roland Clay Haire, Sr. and Thelma Reid McRary.R.C. was a veteran of the United States Air Force serving for eight years. He was a graduate of Hudson High School.He then went to Lenoir-Rhyne where he earned a Bachelors of Business Administration degree.R.C. later attended Appalachian State where he received his Masters Degree in Economics.He was a member of the American Legion.R.C. was also a former Hudson Town Commissioner and served on the Baton Water Board. Mr. Haire owner of Shaire Center loved his family dearly and is survived by his wife of 55 years Kay Haire of the home; two sons, Brian Haire (wife Tina) and Jason Haire (wife Renee); a daughter, Katie Haire-Swaba (husband William); his grandchildren, Courtney Harvey (husband Caleb), Rian Haire, Reid Haire and Kensington Swaba; he is also survived by numerous other relatives. Family and friends smile fondly when referring to R.C.We have all learned so many valuable lessons from him. In addition to his great sense of humor, we will miss so many things about R.C.Today he would say to us, “My heart is full with no regrets.” A celebration of R.C.’s life will be held at the Shaire Center at a later date.
