Philip Carlton Thomas

Lenoir, NC- Mr. Philip Carlton Thomas, age 52, of Lenoir, passed away at Caldwell Hospice & Palliative Care on Monday, August 9, 2010. Philip was born July 6, 1958 in Caldwell County, and was a son of Francis Carlton Thomas and the late Sue Parton Thomas. He was a machine operator with Lenoir Chair 1. He loved fishing and sports. He will be remembered by his many friends. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Lester and Myrtle Parton; his paternal grandmother, Mabel Thomas; and a brother-in-law, Shawn Woodruff. He is survived by his father, Francis Carlton Thomas of Lenoir; a sister, Lisa Thomas Barber of Lenoir; three brothers and a sister-in-law, Barry Michael Thomas of Taylorsville, Mark Thomas of Lenoir, and Kevin and Wendy Thomas of Lenoir; his nieces and nephews, Brandon Thomas, Laura Barber, Justin Barber, Amanda Philyaw, and Emily Thomas; and two great nephews, Caiden Philyaw and Jacob Thomas. The family will be having a private memorial service at a later time. They will receive friends on Saturday, August 14, 2010 from 3:00 PM to 6:00PM at 1012 Olive Avenue, Lenoir, NC 28645.
