Nellie Greer

Lenoir – Mrs. Nellie Crotts Greer, age 78, passed away on Monday, January 1, 2018 at Caldwell UNC. She was born in Caldwell County on September 1, 1939 to the late George and Ruth Crapps Crotts. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Victor Crotts; sister, Mary Scott; and daughter, Melissa Watson. Mrs. Greer is survived by her children, Terri Townsend and husband; Bruce; Sandra Mull and husband, Larry; Mike Greer and wife, Amanda; Lori Woodring and husband, Bobby; Robert Greer and wife, Barbara; and Kenny Greer; and numerous grand-children, great-grandchildren and numerous other relatives. A celebration of Mrs. Greer’s life will be held in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service on Friday, January 5, 2018 at 12:00 PM. Burial will be at the old New Hope Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Brian Bumgarner, Markie Townsend, Adam Hester, Newland West, Jay Townsend, Zac Bumgarner and Tony Sanders. The family will receive friends from 11:00 until 12:00 prior to the service.
