Meladean Carol Price

Statesville, NC- Mrs. Meladean Carol Bumgarner Price, age 72, passed away on Tuesday, January 8, 2012 at Frye Regional Medical Center. She was born in Caldwell County on July 7, 1940 to the late Gomer and Perylee Dula Bumgarner. Mrs. Price had attended Temple Hill Baptist Church. She had a wonderful sense of humor and loved joking and pulling pranks on people. Meladean always tried to see the good in everyone. She loved reading and spending time with her family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Retired 1st Sgt. Mote Price, Jr. Survivors include three daughters and sons in law, Carla P. Setzer, Carol P. Horne, husband Philip, and Beth P. Berry, husband Joe; one son and daughter in law, Brian K. Price, wife Jacky; two sisters, Betty Lou Sloan, husband Raymond, and Kay Hallyburton, husband Charles; two brothers, William Bumgarner, wife Ida Belle, and Morris Bumgarner, wife Linda; Eight grandchildren, Jonathon and Carrie, Justin and Heidi, Joshua and Jessica, Jessie, Jarod and Jonna, Jessica and Robert, Jacob and Renata and Miranda; she is also survived by seven great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. A celebration of Meladean’s life will be held on Saturday, January 12, 2013 at 12:00 PM at Temple Hill Baptist Church with Pastor Doug Woody officiating. Interment will follow the service in the church cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Rob Hallyburton, David Foster, Jonathon Setzer, PFC Jarod Horne US Army, Michael Arnold, and LCRPL Jacob Sparks USMC. The family will receive friends on Friday, January 11, 2013 at Evans Funeral Service from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
