Lorraine Davis Austin

Lorraine Davis Austin, age 68, of Lenoir, North Carolina passed away on January 29, 2023. Lorraine was born on June 23, 1954 to the late Jack Charles Davis Sr. and Alice Eliza Pennington. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Dannie Wayne Austin; son, Ashley Bryson Austin; brother, Robert Scott Davis. Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Marcia Greer (husband, Terry); sons, Danny Wayne Henry-Austin (wife, Angie), Robert Shawn Henry-Austin (wife, Dawn); sister, Kathy Soots (husband, Nelson); brother, Jackie Charles Davis Jr. (wife, Jeanie); nine grandchildren; and four great grandchildren. Lorraine loved bowling, motorcycles, racecars, and floral arrangements. A funeral service to honor Lorraine Davis Austin will be held at 12:00 PM on Saturday, February 4, 2023 at Poovey’s Chapel Baptist Church in Hudson with Pastor Nicki Waters officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Interment will follow the service at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
