Lisa Carol Wheeler

Lenoir, NC – Mrs. Lisa Carol Bentley Wheeler, age 40, passed away on Tuesday, December 14, 2010 at Frye Regional Medical Center. Born December 11, 1970 in Caldwell County, Lisa was a daughter of the late, Joann Gragg. She was Baptist by faith and had attended Worship Point Baptist Church. She enjoyed cooking big meals for her family and also enjoyed sewing. She loved animals and loved life. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by a son Cameron Barlowe; a sister, Kimberly Bentley; a brother, Joseph Gragg; and her grandmother, Velma Atkins. Surviving are her husband, Wayne Wheeler, Jr. of the Home; a daughter, Ashley Leann Kirby of Lenoir; two sons, Wayne H. Wheeler III, of Wrightsville Beach, NC, and Matthew D. Wheeler of Charlotte; three brothers and a sister in law, Allen Bentley of Louisiana, Michael and Leisa Bentley of Hickory, and Jay Edward Bentley of Lenoir; an Aunt, Tina Harmon of Lenoir; she is also survived by numerous other relatives. A celebration of Lisa’s life will be held on Wednesday, December 15, 2010 at 8:00 PM in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service with Reverend Randy Gibson officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home prior to the service from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Memorials can be made to the Worship Point Baptist Church at 2310 Collettsville Road, Lenoir, NC 28645.
