Lenoir, NC- Mr. Kenneth “Ken†Alvin Crump, age 73, of Lenoir, passed away on Thursday, November 11, 2010 at the Lenoir Healthcare Center. Born March 17, 1937, Ken was a son of Lucille Barlowe Crump and the late Reverend Gordon Crump. Ken had worked for many years as a truck driver with the Anderson Truck line. He was Baptist by faith. In addition to his Mother, he is survived by his four children, Kim Piercy, husband Robert, of Lenoir, Chris Crump of Lenoir, Leon Johnson, wife Kay, of Harlingen, TX, and Tim Johnson of Greensboro, NC; three step children, Vickie Royal, husband Charley, Adam Singleton and Brian Singleton all from Alabama; two sisters and a brother in law, Modean and Clifford Stillwell of Hildebran, and Juanita Heaps of Lenoir; a brother and sister in law, Jack and Lois Crump of Lenoir; he is also survived by 11 grandchildren, three great grandchildren, two step grandchildren , nieces, nephews and other relatives. A celebration of Ken’s life will be held on Sunday, November 14, 2010 at 3:00 PM at the Nazareth Advent Christian Church with Reverend Rodney Raby officiating. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
