Kathleen Negley

Kathleen Ann Negley, age 74, unexpectedly went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 11, 2023 at Frye Regional Medical Center. She was born in Windham, CT on January 23, 1949 to the late Everett and Hazel Lovering. She was married to Elwood Negley, of the residence, for 51 years.

Kathleen was an active member of Lenoir First Wesleyan Church where she led the children’s sermons for many years. She and her husband loved their church since becoming members 25 years ago. Kathleen was an LPN and took great pride in caring for her residents at Lenoir Healthcare.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Ivy Martin. Other than her husband, she is survived by her sons, Nathaniel Negley and Jedidiah Negley and wife, Cassie; granddaughter, Persephone Negley; sisters, Lynda Lovering and Priscilla Bushy; brother, Christopher Lovering and his wife and son; brother-in-law, David Martin; and other family members.

A memorial service celebrating Kathleen’s life will be held at Lenoir First Weslyan Church at a later date and officiated by Pastor James Baker.
