George Scott

Lenoir – George Walter Scott, age 57, passed away on Tuesday, August 9, 2022 at Caldwell UNC Health. He was born in Caldwell County on November 30, 1964 to the late Stewart and Mary Crotts Scott.

He was a loving Dad and Pawpaw who enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. George began working on cars at the age of 4 and spent his working career as a hard-working mechanic. He loved spending time outdoors, especially fishing.

In addition to his parents, George was preceded in death by his wife, Sherry Pennell Scott and his sister, Nora Scott.

He is survived by his daughter, Ashley Scott and husband, Justin Phillips; grandchildren, Alyssa and Dylan; a sister and two brothers; sister-in-law, Debbie Adams and husband, Don of New York.
