Gary James Hardin

Gary James Hardin, age 63, passed away on Friday, July 28, 2023 at Autumn Care of Drexel. He was born in Dade County, FL on June 29, 1960 to the late General Hardin and Gladys Bryant Odum. He was married to Sharri Holloway Hardin of the residence.

Gary was an amazing husband and brother. He was loved by those that had the good fortune of knowing him. Gary had a wonderful personality and enjoyed meeting people.

Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Jennifer Hardin and his sisters, Gina Hardin and Gail Barber.

In addition to his wife, Gary is survived by his daughters, Emily and Erin Hardin; Alexis Roten and her boyfriend, Trae Hayes; son, Alexander Roten; brother, Garland Hardin and wife, Kitty; sister, Glenda Wilson; and his fur babies, Winnie and Muffin.

A celebration of Gary’s life will be held in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service on Wednesday, August 2, 2023 at 3:00 PM.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:00 prior to the service.
