Lenoir, NC- Mrs. Frances Davis Yarborough, age 91, of Lenoir and formerly of Charlotte, passed away Thursday, January 3, 2013 in the Gateway Nursing Center in Lenoir. Born October 31, 1921 in Mecklenburg County, Mrs. Yarborough was a daughter of the late John N. and Susie Welch Yarborough and the wife of the late Harold Wilson Yarborough. She was a loving wife and mother, homemaker and a member of the Plaza Road Presbyterian Church in Charlotte. Mrs. Yarborough had worked for the American Bank and Trust and NCNB in Charlotte and loved all of the women she had worked with there. She is survived by her son, Johnny Yarborough and wife Terry of Matthews; three daughters, Frances Delk and husband Joe of Lenoir; Debby Montieth and husband Chip of Hampstead; Suzann Mills and husband Henry of Monroe; two sisters, Becca Walters of Matthews; Sis Cudiback of Atlanta, GA and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A Graveside service will be conducted Monday, January 7, 2013 at 2:00 PM at Sharon Memorial Park in Charlotte with Reverend Marty Todys officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorials be made to: First Presbyterian Church, 1002 Kirkwood Street, NW, Lenoir, NC 28645.
