Doug Gilbert

James “Doug” Douglas Gilbert Doug Gilbert, 57, of Lenoir passed away on Friday, June 16, 2017 at Catawba Valley Medical Center. He was born in Caldwell County on December 24, 1959 to the late James Calvin Gilbert and Pearl Phelps Gilbert. Doug enjoyed watching T.V. especially Wrestling and sitting on the porch. Doug also loved camping and fishing at Castle Bridge. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Carrol Shehan. Doug is survived by six sisters, Mae Lackey (husband Roy), Peggy Shehan, Linda Kaufman, Cathy Gilbert, Janet Gilbert, and Louise Gilbert. He is also survived by a niece, nephews and other relatives.
