Dianne Penland Coffey

Dianne Penland Coffey, age 66, passed away on Sunday, April 21, 2024 at Amorem in Hudson. She was born in Baltimore, MD on December 9, 1957 to the late William Penland and Elizabeth Bolick Penland. She was married to Roy Coffey, Jr. of the home for 43 years.

Dianne worked at Donna’s Café for her sister for many years. She had a heart of gold and loved her customers dearly. They were the reason she enjoyed working. Dianne loved her family with all her heart and especially her grandbabies.  She was kind, generous, hardworking and never met a stranger. She enjoyed crafting, making memories to pass down, going to the beach and going camping with her family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by WillaDean Penland, her bonus Mom and Patricia Chandler, her sister and her little brother, Harold Penland. Other than her husband, Dianne is survived by her daughter, Jodi Trivette; son, Dustin Coffey and wife, Jennifer; her precious grandchildren, Kayleigh Ellis; Kross Coffey; Nora Coffey; her bonus grandson, Brayden Biddix; sisters, Donna Marie Greer and husband, Chip; Donna Sue Penland; brother, Leon Suttles; niece, Deana Biddix and husband, Geoff; nephews, Donny Greer and wife, Crystal; Gary Greer; Tommy Greer and wife, Mona; and numerous great-nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Dianne’s life will be held in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service on Thursday, April 25, 2024 at 3:00 PM with Pastor Joe Barrett officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:00 prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Amorem, 902 Kirkwood Street, Lenoir, NC  28645.The family would like to express their appreciation to the staff at both Caldwell UNC Health and Amorem.
