Deanna Smith

Ms. Deanna Jean Smith, age 21, of Lenoir passed away on Monday, October 26, 2020. Born January 10, 1999 in Caldwell County, Deanna was a daughter of Barbara Smith and Ronnie Lee Bowman, Jr.. Deanna was an avid Batman fan.She was an artist and loved animals.Deanna was recently accepted into Appalachian State University and was set to start school in the spring. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Willa Dean Carlton Smith and a step brother, Ricky Allen Walsh, Jr. In addition to her parents, she is also survived by her step father, Ricky A. Walsh; maternal grandfather, John W. Smith; a sister, Destiny Faith Williford; her step sisters, Melissa Erin Walsh and Brittany Marie Walsh; a step brother, Russell Walsh. A memorial service celebrating Deanna’s life will be held at a later time. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to the learning assistance program at Appalachian State University.
