Cody Hodges

Hickory, NC – Cody Terrell Hodges, age 28, went home to be with the Lord on January 15, 2021 at his residence.He was born in Mecklenburg County on October 10, 1992 to Kathleen Stadther Poarch and Marc D. Hodges. Cody attended Lincoln County schools in Denver, NC and graduated from East Lincoln High School in 2011.Cody had a heart of gold and was always there when anyone needed help. He loved spending time with his family and friends.Watching movies and sports, eating crab legs, and playing disc golf were some of his favorite activities.Everyone who met Cody was captivated by his contagious smile, warmth, and friendliness.Cody is now in God’s loving arms where Peace, Love, and Happiness abound. Cody was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Leon and Mary Ann Terrell Stadther (Susie). Cody is survived by his mother Kathleen Poarch and husband, Tim; his father Marc Hodges and wife, Lynn; brothers, Andrew Hodges and Clay Hodges; two nieces, Andrea and Demi; paternal grandparents, Robert and Nellie Hodges; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins who loved him dearly. A graveside service will be held at Blue Ridge Memorial Park on Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at 1:30 PM with Pastor Jim Lee officiating. Pallbearers will be Michael Hodges, Brooks Hodges, Chase Hodges, Zachary Triplett, Michael Rappe and Jared Rappe.
