Carol Sue Anthony

Carol Sue Anthony of Hudson, 75, passed away on March 20, 2023. Carol was born in Norfolk, VA on June 9, 1947, the younger daughter of Charles Andrew and Bertha Patterson Anthony. After moving to Lenoir in 2009, Carol worked for Walmart Store 1064 on Blowing Rock Blvd. for 14 years until shortly before her death. She truly enjoyed her co-workers and customers and in turn, they were wonderful to her.

Carol was a unique and free-spirited soul who loved all animals, especially dogs and pigs. She was also a natural and entertaining storyteller, and if you ever met her, both these things were quickly obvious. Carol was preceded in death by her loving parents and two of the best dogs to have ever lived on this earth, Maxx and Rocky. She is survived by her sister Betsy, two nieces and a nephew, six great-nieces and great-nephews, a large group of first and second cousins and their families, several lifelong friends and her Walmart friends and co-workers. Services are planned for a later date.
