Carmen Melissa Crump

Hudson, NC- Mrs. Carmen Melissa Crump, age 53, of Hudson passed away on Wednesday, February 9, 2011 at Grace Hospital in Morganton. Born September 1, 1957 in Catawba County, Carmen was a daughter of Ethel Kelley Annas and Albert Brown and the late Ned James Annas. She was Baptist by faith and was a member of the Mountain Grove Church. She worked as a hair stylist and was also a homemaker. She was also a member of the ASPCA. In addition to her parents, survivors include her husband, Douglas “Doug” Crump of the home; a daughter and son in law, April and Jimmy Wilson of Mooresville; two sons and daughters in law, James and Misty Crump of Granite Falls, and Rex and Lisa Minton, Jr. of Deep Gap; a sister and brother in law, Kay and Gary Howell of Ranlo; two brothers and sisters in law, Terry and Denise Annas of Hudson, and Jeff and Elden Annas of Myrtle Beach; a grandson, Zachary Parsons of Deep Gap; she is also survived by numerous other relatives. A celebration of Carmen’s life will be held on Saturday, February 12, 2011 at 11:00 AM at the Mountain Grove Church with Dr. Clifton Black officiating. Interment will follow in the Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be James Crump, Nathan Huffman, Kevin Annas, Matt Davis, Dwight Kelley and Jason Thompson. The family will receive friends on Saturday at the church from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM prior to the service.
