Cameron Dale Woods, 38, of Hickory went home to be with the Lord on October 13, 2021. Cameron was born on March 5, 1983 to Roger and Mildred Woods in Burke County. Cameron was married to Jacqualen Travis Woods. He was a loving husband and father, who dedicated his life to spending time with his wife and children. Cameron was highly active in his church, Crosstrain Ministries, as the music director. Cameron sang for the Lord in southern gospel groups, Brothers Redeemed Quartet and High Time Quartet, for over 20 years. He was well known and beloved in both the gospel music community and the broader community. In recent years, Cameron began his own DJ business. He was passionate about his family, his church, his work, would give the shirt off his back for anyone, and he never met a stranger. Cameron is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Parker and Sally Wilds, and his paternal grandparents, Cecil and Dessie Woods. Cameron is preceded by numerous uncles and one aunt. He is also preceded in death by his dear friend, Deputy Adam Klutz. In addition to his wife and parents, Cameron is survived by his 3 children: Lillian Chree Woods, Rhiley Saige Woods, and Fynlee Lennox Woods. Cameron is survived by his “adopted” daughter, Jenny Clinton, and numerous children from church. Cameron is survived by his sister, Chasity Annas and husband Robert. He is survived by his nieces: Cecilia and Amelia Annas, and Aria Lovelace. He is survived by his nephews: Bryson Travis and John-Michael VanDuzer. Cameron is survived by numerous family members and friends. There will be a service held at West Lenoir Baptist Church on Saturday, October 16, 2021 at 1:30 pm, officiated by Pastor Lance Wilson and Associate Pastor Chris Kirby.
