Butch Smith

Butch Smith Sr, 69,of Lenoir, passed away on Sunday, November 14, 2021 at Amorem Hospice in Hudson. Butch was born on September 19, 1952 in Caldwell County to the late Larry and Margaret Smith. He was married to Kay Smith for 50 years. Butch spent his career as a truck driver. Butch loved to spend time golfing and fishing and attending church at Union Grove Baptist Church. He had an incredible love for the Lord, and was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend. Butch took great enjoyment in helping his family and those in need. He will be dearly missed by all that had the pleasure to meet Butch. In addition to his wife, Butch is survived by his children: his son, Butch Smith Jr and his daughter, Tammie Robbins and husband Randy. He is survived by his one grandson, Chase Puett. Butch is survived by multiple siblings. There will be a service held at Union Grove Baptist Church on Thursday, November 18, 2021 at 3:00 pm. Pastor Sam Craven, Pastor Zack Bryant, and Pastor Jeff Lambert. The family will receive guests from 2:00 pm until 3:00 pm.
