Evans Funeral Service & Crematory Bobby Hood Lenoir, NC - Mr. Bobby Jake Hood, age 78, of Lenoir, beloved husband and father went to his heavenly home on March 30, 2013 at Frye Regional Medical Center. He was born September 9, 1934 in Caldwell County to the late Leonard Vance and Bernice Setzer Hood. Mr. Hood was a member of Pisgah Baptist Church and retired from Broyhill Chair 1. Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Pauline Benge Hood of the home, his children Carolyn Hood Douglas and husband Paul, Patsy Hood Moore, Michael Keith Hood and wife Billie and Ricky Dean Hood and wife Debbie. Also, surviving are two sisters, Mildred Smith and Violet Harmon, three brothers, Alfred Hood, Joe Hood, and Daniel Hood. He also leaves behind 6 grandchildren, Angela, Chasity, Misty, Ryan, Brandy and Shelby, and 13 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one grandson Paul David Hood and one brother Jimmy Hood. He was loved by all who knew him, and he truly loved his wife, children and family, but most of all his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Services will be at Pisgah Baptist Church, 2655 Pisgah Church Road, Lenoir, on April 2, 2013 at 2:00 PM with Pastor Ronnie Miller officiating, and assisted by Reverend Ronnie Jones and Reverend Rodney Raby. Burial will be at Nazareth Advent Christian Church. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM prior to the celebration of life service.
