Bill Kincaid

Hudson – Harold William “Bill” Kincaid, age 84, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 3, 2022 at Caldwell UNC Healthcare. He was born in Caldwell County on September 29, 1937 to the late Arthur Kincaid and Ruth Swanson Kincaid. He was married to Patricia Pritchard Kincaid of the residence. Bill and Pat were married for 64 years and he was the love of her life. He will always be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend.Bill was a member of Mount Zion Baptist Church for more than 40 years, where he served in many different capacities, including, Deacon, Sunday School teacher and served as a mentor to many. He was a former editor of the Lenoir News Topic, Hickory Daily Record and was publisher and owner of The Caldwell News. He later became the Public Information Officer for Caldwell County. In addition to his wife Pat, he is survived by his children, Chris Kincaid and wife, Beni; daughter, Paula Kincaid and fiancée, John Cloer; sisters, Sarah Kanipe and the late, Lawrence Kanipe; Gayle Fisher and husband, Bill; Carolyn Woodard and husband, David; grandsons, Lawson Taylor Kincaid and Evan Miller; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other family members. A celebration of Bill’s life will be held at Mount Zion Baptist Church on Friday, April 8, 2022 at 2:00 PM with Pastor Stephen Owen and Pastor Ed Warren officiating. Interment will follow the service in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 prior to the service at the church. The family respectfully requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to, Mount Zion Baptist Church Building Fund, 1787 Cajah Mtn. Road, Hudson, NC28638.
