Betty Owens Rash

Lenoir- Mrs. Betty Owens Rash, age 77, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 5, 2019 at Caldwell UNC Healthcare. She was born in Wilkes County on January 2, 1942 to the late James Monroe Owens and Lucena Elledge Owens. Mrs. Rash worked many years for the former Southern Bell Telephone Company and later she worked for Caldwell County Home Health. She was an active member of Union Grove Baptist Church. Her love of her family and God was the most important part of her life and was evident in her devotion as a wife, mother, grandmother and sister. Other than her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Rash. Mrs. Rash is survived by her sons, Arlen Rash Jr.; Bryant Rash; and Wayne Rash; grandchildren, Alex, Colby, Zack, Caleb and Caroline; brothers, Richard Owens; Donald Owens and wife, JoAnn; sister, Libby Ellis and husband, Jerry; and numerous other relatives. The family will receive friends in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service on Thursday, November 7, 2019 from 5:00 until 6:30 PM. A graveside service will be held at Mountlawn Memorial Gardens in North Wilkesboro on Friday, November 8, 2019 at 3:00 PM with Pastor Sam Craven and Pastor Don Ingle officiating.
