Betty Sue Edmisten

Betty Sue Braswell Edmisten, 87 of Lenoir, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on November 14th, 2020 at Caldwell UNC Health Care. She was born October 23rd, 1933 in Caldwell County, and was the daughter of the late Sherman and Ruby Braswell. Betty Sue was a member of Mulberry Baptist Church. She loved listening to and singing gospel music and doing word searches and crossword puzzles. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Fred M. Edmisten and daughter, Freida E. Jones and son-in-law, Ralph Jones. She is survived by daughter, Paula E. McLeod of Lenoir, son, Fred Keith Edmisten of Hudson and son Glenn M. Edmisten of Easley, South Carolina.She is also survived by grandchildren Casey J. Boyatt and husband Jamie of Conover, David Hinson of Marion, Chris McLeod and wife Sandra of Lenoir, Josh Osborne and wife Taylor of Lenoir and Erin Edmisten of Fayetteville, Arkansas.She is also survived by several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Due to Covid restrictions, a private graveside service will be held with Rev. James Todd officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care, 902 Kirkwood Street NW Lenoir or Mulberry Baptist Church, 4831 Kirby Mountain Road.
