Barney Allen Brewer

Lenoir, NC- Mr. Barney Allen Brewer, age 62, of Lenoir passed away on Sunday, November 22, 2010, at Caldwell Memorial Hospital. Born March 14, 1948 in Watauga County, he was a son of Hava Brewer White and the late Warren James Brewer. Barney worked for many years as a sander in the furniture industry. He was an Army veteran, serving in the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Trinity Baptist Church. He was an avid gun collector and a member of the National Rifle Association. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and watching football. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his wife, Karen Annas Brewer. Surviving are his mother, Hava Brewer White of Lenoir; three daughters, Rhonda Brewer and Nathalie Brewer , both of Morganton, and Amy Schafer of Pennsylvania; two sons, Nathan Brewer and Ronnie Brewer, both of Morganton; two brothers and sisters in law, Donald J. and Lorraine Brewer of Lenoir, and William O. and Sharon Brewer of Bethlehem; three sisters and brothers in law, Sandra K. and Michael Furches of Hudson, Sherrie and Wesley R. Creasman of Valdese, and Alisa and Scott East of Hudson; five grandchildren; he is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives. A celebration of Barney’s life will be held on Wednesday, November 24, 2010 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service with Reverend Lynn Parsons officiating. Interment will follow the service at the Woodlawn Memorial Gardens in Lenoir with full Military Honors. Pallbearers will be Scott East, Wesley Creasman, Jordie Cannon, Justin Cannon, Zachary East, and Tyler Phillips. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM, prior to the service. Memorials can be made to Caldwell Hospice & Palliative Care at 902 Kirkwood Street, Lenoir, NC 28645.
