Zane G. Main

Lenoir, NC- Mr. Zane G. Main, Sr. age 65 of 1017-C Perkins Place, died Monday, December 19, 2005 at his home. A native of Watauga County, Mr. Main was a son of the late Ira Hamilton Main, Sr. and Loy Harmon Main. Mr. Main was a retired self-employed carpenter, a member of New Hope Christian Community Church and a lifelong musician. Survivors include, his wife, Geneva “Jan” Main of the home; two daughters, Robin Dula and husband Mike of Lenoir; Jan Bryant of Lenoir; 5 sons, Dino L. Main of Elmsford, NY; Gino G. Main and wife Tammy of Lenoir, Zane “Z.G.” Main, Jr. and wife Angie of Bluefield, West Virginia; Michael L. Main and wife Lisa of Gamewell and Reverend Lance B. Main and wife Helen of Granite Falls; two brothers, Hurley Main and wife Mary and Boyd Main and wife Kathleen all of Gamewell, two sisters, Vonnie Moody and husband Cline of Boone and Geneva York and husband Roy of Morganton; 17 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Other than his parents, Mr. Main was preceded in death by his sister, Flora Phillips and 4 brothers, Ira Hamilton Main, Jr.; Kit Main, Herbert Main and Earl Main. Funeral services for Mr. Main will be conducted 2:00 PM Thursday, December 22, 2005 at New Hope Christian Community Church with Reverend Jerry Tester officiating. Burial will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the church from 1 until 2 prior to the service on Thursday and at other times at the residence.
