Zailia Wedderburn

Mrs. Zailia Zaiafanice Wedderburn, age 58, of Lenoir passed away on Sunday, September 11, 2022 at Lenoir Healthcare in Lenoir.

Born on February 11, 1964 in Caldwell County, Zailia was a daughter of the late Charlotte Corina Bowers and William Fred Witherspoon, Sr.  Zailia will be remembered for her sense of humor and bubbly personality.  She was known for making people laugh.  Most importantly, she accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior.  In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert Wedderburn, Sr.; a daughter, Monique Wedderburn Williams; a sister, Grace Witherspoon; a brother William Fred Witherspoon, Jr.

She is survived by a son, Robert Wedderburn, Jr. (wife Chrystal); two sisters, Veronica Whittington (husband David) and Vanessa Washington; a granddaughter, Ayana Williams; her nieces and nephews, Eric Witherspoon, Caven Witherspoon, Sade’ Ison, Reseanda Williams and Renisha Catron; she is also survived by a host of other relatives.

A Graveside service celebrating Zailia’s life will be held on Thursday, September 15, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Blue Ridge Memorial Park with Pastor Robert Hayes officiating.
