Lenoir, NC- Mrs. Wylla Deane Marley Kirby, age 64, of Lenoir, died Tuesday, August 14, 2007 in Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care. Born June 1, 1943 in Caldwell County, Mrs. Kirby was a daughter of the late Samuel Jay and Kate Bethania Walker Marley and the wife of the late Basil Bingham Kirby, Sr. Mrs. Kirby was a member of Union Baptist Church and a retired Mail Carrier for Route 7. She enjoyed get togethers with her family, church and friends. In her life she brought many blessings to others and continues to do so in her passing. She is survived by her son, Basil Bingham Kirby, Jr. and wife Marlin of Granite Falls; two daughters, Jacqueline Carlisle of Lenoir; Tammy Johnson and husband Carroll Douglas Johnson, Jr. of Lenoir; one sister, Jeanette Pearson of Wilkesboro; one brother, Thomas Marley of Lenoir; three grandchildren, Lana Kirby of Greenville, SC; Amanda Johnson of Lenoir and Chris Carlisle of Lenoir, many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and friends whom she adored and her best friend, Jeanette Maltba. Other than her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth Marley. A celebration of Mrs. Kirby?s life will be 6:00 PM Thursday, August 16, 2007 at Union Baptist Church with Reverend Myron Davis officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday, August 16, 2007 from 5 until 6 PM, one hour prior to the service at Union Baptist Church. Pallbearers will be: Tim Marley, Jonathon Marley, Gary Pearson, Ronnie Pearson, Jeffery Marley, Kevin Sesco, Mills Bullis, Bobby Marsh, Jamie Pearson, Sammy Speaks, Chad Call, Jeremy Call, Matthew Anderson and Keith McLean.
