Lenoir- Mrs. Winnifred Vines Walsh, age 87, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at her residence. She was born in Caldwell County on September 5, 1933 to the late Tommie and Verna Vines. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Dale Walsh; son, Larry Walsh; son-in-law, Tony Williams; daughter-in-law, Joann Walsh; and sisters, Mattie Wheat and Marie Dula. Mrs. Walsh is survived by her daughters, Paulette Williams; Elaine Walsh and husband, Lee Bryant and son, Horace Walsh; and a sister, Jean McGuire; grandchildren, Brandi Williams; Jamie Williams; Sparkle Walsh; and Milo Lowman; great-grandchildren, Jessi Williams; Journey Burchfield; and Brooke Robbins; great-great-grandchildren, Raiden Williams; Toni Burchfield; and Thatcher Robbins. She was known as “Grandma Winnie” to all who met her. The definition of an Old Fashioned southern Mom and Grandma her door and her heart were always open. She loved, regardless of who you were or where you came from. With that love, came an un-wavering faith in you that so many needed. You could wander, and it didn’t matter how far, you were always welcome back into her home, as you had never left her heart. Our hope is that she left this world leaving some of that faith and love instilled so deep in those she loved that it will carry on for generations to come.
