Wilma Jean Tester

Wilma “Jean” Chester, 70, went to be with the Lord on March 10, 2021 while surrounded by her family. Jean was born on October 17, 1950 in Watauga County to the late William and Peggy Tester. Jean was married 24 years to the late Allen Chester. Jean was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother that will be dearly missed. Jean was devoted to attending church and serving the Lord. Jean is survived by her daughters: Christina Brinkley and husband Todd and Lisa Reece and husband Johnathan. Jean is survived by her grandchildren: Candice Sumpter and husband David; Allanea Reece; Ashley Pitts and husband James; Cheyenne Reece; Cody Thompson and wife Brandi; and Allison Reyes and husband Oscar. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren: Mason; Tootie; Haley; Haven; Easton; John Luke; Samantha; and Levi. She is survived by her brother, William Tester. There will be a graveside service held on Saturday, March 13, 2021 at East Hudson Baptist Church Cemetery at 2:00 pm. Serving as pallbearers will include: Todd Brinkley, Cody Thompson, David Sumpter, Steve Tolbert, Oscar Reyes, and Derrick Crisp. Honorary pallbearers will be her great-grandsons.
