Wilma Nelson Porter

Wilma Porter Boomer – Mrs. Wilma Dean Nelson Porter, age 64, passed away on Tuesday, February 10, 2015 at her residence. She was born in Caldwell County on June 26, 1950 to the late Howard Nelson and Virginia Hall Nelson. Mrs. Porter was married to Forrest Dale Porter of the residence.She was a member of North Catawba Baptist Church. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her son, Lt.Colonel Michael Porter and wife, Danielle of Camp Lejeune, NC; daughter, Melissa “Lisa” Porter; grandsons, Joshua and Jacob Porter; granddaughters, Amber and Dancy Porter; great-granddaughter, Eva Porter; brothers, Howard Nelson, Bruce Nelson, Jerry Nelson and Paul Nelson; and her big sister, Ruth Nelson. The family respectfully requests that in lieu of flowers memorials be made to Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care, 902 Kirkwood Street, Lenoir, NC 28645.
