Wilma Price Horn

February 16, 1943 — March 17, 2011

Lenoir, NC – Mrs. Mary Wilma Coffey Price Horn, of Lenoir, was called home to be with her Lord and Savior on March 17, 2011 to be set free to run & dance again, after several years of battling cancer. Born February 16, 1943 in the Sampson Community of Watauga County, Mrs. Horn was a daughter of the late Milton Leroy and Velma Triplett Coffey of the Sampson Community and then Lenoir, NC. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband Albert Price and her second husband Richard Horn of Maple Grove, NC; two sisters, Junie Walker and Reba Coffey of Lenoir; 5 brothers, Ronard Coffey of Lenoir, Odus, Wade & Milton Leroy and Adophous Coffey of Maryland and NC. Mrs. Horn was a member of Yadkin Baptist Church and had a very loving, caring church family who were with her till the end. She was a loving mother, sister and exceptional grandmother and great-grandmother who will be missed terribly, but we know she is now happy, smiling and has been set free. She worked at Blue Bell Blue Jean Factory and Singer Furniture until its closing, but the most rewarding work she did was helping and serving the elderly at Lenoir Park. She is survived by one beloved daughter, Amy Janell Gulledge of the home; a devoted granddaughter, Natasha Janell Jones and one special, caring granddaughter, Skylar Janell Jones. She is also survived by 3 sisters, Jeanette McNeil and Winnie Hartley of Lenoir; Mozelle Beach Carpenter and husband Russell of Hickory and a number of nieces, nephews and special friends. A service to celebrate her life will be held 3:00 PM Sunday, March 20, 2011 at Yadkin Baptist Church with Reverend Robert Livingston officiating. The family will receive friends following the service in the fellowship hall. The family respectfully requests memorials be made to Yadkin Baptist Church, PO Box 37, Lenoir, NC 28645.
