William Garland Weeks

Bill Weeks Lenoir, NC- William (Bill) Garland Weeks, age 84, passed away on Wednesday, July 11, 2012 at Gateway Nursing Center. He was born in Caldwell County on October 19, 1927 to the late Paul and Carrie Haigler Weeks. Bill was a 1950 graduate of Lenoir High School and a life-long member of Central Advent Christian Church where he served as an usher for more than 50 years. He retired from Singer Furniture Company. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Charles and Paul Weeks; his sister, Mildred Weeks Prestwood; and his special friend for 49 year, Dorothy Perkins. Bill is survived by his brother, Robert Weeks and wife, Molly of Lenoir and Doug Weeks and wife, Linda of Montgomery, AL. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, July 14, 2012 at Central Advent Christian Church with Reverend Ed Neal and Reverend Marshall Tidwell officiating.
