William "Bud" Shook

Lenoir – William E. “Bud” Shook, Jr., passed away on Saturday, November 2, 2019 at Caldwell Hospice in Hudson. He was born in Richmond County, Georgia on December 25, 1954 to William E. Shook, Sr. and Frances E. Shook. Bud was a life-time resident of the Gamewell Community and a standing member of Hibriten Masonic Lodge No.262. His interests included panning for gold and classic cars but his greatest pleasure was spending time with his family and life-long friends. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his son, William E. “B.J.” Shook, III and wife, Roxie; daughter, Brandy Mecimore and husband, Scott; grandchildren, Kayla Shook, and Alexia and Blake Mecimore; brother, Randy Shook and wife, Dana; sister, Patricia Warren and husband, Alan; brother, Steven Shook and wife, Beverly; and numerous nieces and nephews, who loved him dearly. A graveside service for Bud will be held at 12:00 PM on Tuesday, November 5, 2019 at Blue Ridge Memorial Park with Reverend Gary Shew officiating. Pallbearers will be Mike Burns, Mike Runion, Lenny Dellinger, Clark Gilliam, Gary Woods and Roger Frazier. Honorary pallbearers will be Junior Saunders, Tyler Warren and Travis Shook.
