William Junior Reese

William Junior Reese of Lenoir peacefully passed away on Thursday, April 29, 2021, after a long illness.His loving wife of 56 years, Evelyn J. Reese, was by his side when he went into the arms of our Lord. Junior was born in Lenoir on November 13, 1944. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ethel J. and Thurston W. Bolick and his brother, Jimmy D. Bolick, all of Lenoir. Junior was a member of North Catawba Baptist Church.He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and an avid fisherman.Junior is survived by his wife, Evelyn J. Reese, sister, Debra Beane of High Point, NC, son W. Shannon Reese and wife Susan of Lenoir, daughter Tracy Blevins and husband Chris of Lenoir.He is also survived by his grandchildren Justin W. Reese and wife Holli of Goose Creek, South Carolina, Jamie R. Greene and wife Morgan of Granite Falls, Brandie Greene Mitchell and husband Cody of Wellford, South Carolina, Elizabeth Harris of Lenoir, Lance Blevins, of Conover, North Carolina, Sarah Reese Watson and husband Elijah of Lenoir and Zachary Reese of Lenoir.Junior is also survived by 10 great grandchildren, Hayden, Lucas, Avery and Jackson Reese of Goose Creek, South Carolina, Nolan and Paisley Greene of Granite Falls, Dylan Holman and Adaline Mitchell, of Wellford, South Carolina, and Kinsley and Ally Haynes, of Lenoir, niece, Stacy Beane of Winter Park, Florida and nephew Corey Beane of Mooresville, North Carolina.Additional survivors are his best friends Vernon and Faye Combs of Lenoir. A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, May 4, 2021 at 2:00 pm at North Catawba Baptist Church conducted by Reverend David Brown.The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 pm prior to the service at the church.Memorials in his honor may be made to Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care, 526 Robbinswood Place, Hudson, NC 28638, or North Catawba Baptist Church 1596 N Catawba Church Ave, Lenoir, NC 28645.
