William Ray Minton

Lenoir, NC- Mr. William Ray Minton, age 52, of Morganton Blvd., died Saturday, April 7, 2007. Born February 15, 1955 in Wilkes County, Mr. Minton was a son of the late William Ray and Cynthia Louise Woodruff Minton. Mr. Minton was loved by so many and was known to be a very hard worker. He had worked for Davis Wood Products for over 30 years. He is survived by his wife, Linda G. Minton of Granite Falls; his step-daughter, Lisa Stafford of Granite Falls; one sister, Rachel Minton of Lenoir; 3 brothers, Kenneth Owens and Jackie Minton, both of Lenoir; Jimmy Williams of Wilkesboro and one grandson, Ethan Gregory of Granite Falls. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, William Ray Minton, Jr.; 2 sisters, Patsy Hayes and Sue Greer and one brother, Junior Owens. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 AM Wednesday, April 11, 2007 at Free Spirit Baptist Church in Hudson with Reverend Calvin Hargett officiating. Burial will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 10 until 11 AM on Wednesday prior to the service at the church and at other times at the home of Rachel Minton, 213 Sunset St. NW in Lenoir.
