William Kenneth Johnson

Lenoir, NC- Mr. William ?Bill? Kenneth Johnson, Jr., age 69 of Lenoir, passed away at his home, Saturday, July 19, 2008. Born June 27, 1939 in Caldwell County, Mr. Johnson was a son of the late William Kenneth Johnson, Sr. and Ruth McLean Johnson. Bill was a member of the Globe Baptist Church and was retired from Century Furniture. He is survived by his beloved wife, Mary Gragg Johnson; sons, Tim Johnson and wife Beth; Jeff Johnson and wife Patti; Jason Johnson all of Lenoir; daughters, Becky Hayes and Renee Welch and husband Tracy all of Granite Falls; 2 loving step-daughters, Gerhea Chuber of Kansas; Leslie Cayton and husband Bill of Wilmington, NC; his two precious dogs, Tootsie and Penny; 2 brothers, Charles Johnson and wife Marlene of Hudson; Richard Johnson and wife Lee Ann of Lenoir; sister Betty Bumgarner of Hudson; 12 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. A celebration of Bill?s life will be held 4:00 PM Tuesday, July 22, 2008 at Globe Baptist Church with Reverend Roger Cox, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 22, 2008 from 1 until 3 PM at Evans Funeral Service. Pallbearers will be: Stan Ford, Bob Gragg, Matthew Hartley, Keith Howell, Jim Johnson and Clyde ?Bug? Woody. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Randy and Ruth Gragg and Troy ?Bud? and Kay Gragg.
