William Calvin Hicks

Lenoir, NC- Mr. William Calvin Hicks, age 56, of Lenoir, died Sunday, May 17, 2009 at his home. Born December 9, 1952 in Boone, Mr. Hicks was a son of the late Charles William Hicks and Ruby Harmon Hicks of Granite Falls. Other than his father, he was preceded in death by one brother, Kenneth Hicks and one sister, Rita Hicks. Surviving other than his mother are 3 daughters, Rebecca and James Coburn; Misty and Jason Price and Jessica Parsons, all of Lenoir; 4 brothers, James and Nina Hicks; Roger and Shelia Hicks; Gary and Sandy Hicks; Ted and Joyce Hicks all of Burke County; 5 sisters, Wanda Jones; Louise and Harold Welch; Betty and Tim Poindexter, Lisa Hicks and Tammy Hicks and 12 grandchildren. The family will receive friends Thursday, May 21, 2009 from 1:00 until 2:00 PM at Evans Funeral Service with a graveside service following in the Laurelwood Haven Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Travis Garland, Gary Starnes, Roger Hicks, Jason Brittain, Chris White and Joseph Hicks.
