William Lee Goble Sr.

Mr. William Lee Goble, Sr. (“Lee”), age 82, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 8, 2023, at his home.  He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of fifty-eight years, Doris Anne Goble (“Dottie”).

Survivors include his son William Lee Goble, Jr., of Lenoir, NC, daughter Jacqueline Michelle Goble, and grandson Jonah Andres Guerra, of Jamestown, NC, and his brother Douglas Goble of Lakeland, Florida.

Lee was a graduate of Lenoir High School class of 1959.  He worked for Broyhill Furniture Industries for forty-seven years.  He was a long-time member of Lower Creek Baptist Church, including service on several committees at the church and as a Deacon.

Lee relished his time with his family.  He especially enjoyed his time with his grandson Jonah, fishing at the pier at Myrtle Beach, and planting a garden with his family to share with his neighbors and local food bank.

Visitation will take place at Lower Creek Baptist Church on Sunday, November 12, 2023, at 2:00 pm. A graveside service will follow at 3:00 pm at Lower Creek Baptist Church cemetery with Reverend Kevin Burns officiating.
