William Brown

Lenoir, NC- Mr. William Brown, age 74, of Lenoir, passed away at the Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care July 23, 2008. Born November 3, 1933 in Wilkes County, NC. Mr. Brown was a son of the late Daniel and Cora Emaline Brown. Mr. Brown had retired from Shuford Mills and was Baptist by Faith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 35 years, Shirley Marler Bean Brown; Two sons, William Richard Brown and Steven Lynn Marler; Two brothers, Eugene Brown and Rev. E.L. Brown; Five sisters, Rosie Cleary, Tate Green, Eddie Wagoner, Novella Brown, and Annabelle Wyatt. He is survived by two daughters and son-in-laws, Anne and Randy Pennell of Lenoir, and Lori and Rick Aiken of Goldsboro, NC; One brother and sister-in-law, Kenneth and Trula Brown of Lenoir; One sister, Ina Simmons of Shelby, NC; One sister-in-law, Martha Brown; Four grandsons, Cameron Pennell, Ryan Marler, Justin Marler, and Zack Aiken; Two granddaughters, Heather Aiken and Amber Marler; a special nephew, Gene Edwards; Two special friends, Jack Hatley and B.B. Bentley; he is also survived by numerous other relatives. The family will have a memorial service at the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service on Saturday July 26, 2008 at 2:30 PM. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 to 2:30 PM.
