William "Billy" Parsons, Jr.

Billy Parsons, 66, of the greater Dudley Shoals area, passed away August 4, 2023.

Billy was born on April 9, 1957 to Maxine Parsons and the late Bill Parsons.

In addition to his father, Billy is preceded in death by his grandparents.

Those left to cherish his memory in addition to his mother, are his wife, Teresa Parsons; children; BJ Parsons (Amy), Justin Parsons (Kim), John Williams, Melissa Adams (Nathan), Nathan Pennell (Ashlee), Michelle Hinkle (Sam); grandchildren; Liam, Brittany, Jordan, Emma, Lilly, Chelsea (Johnny), Maya, Noah, Cole, Bella, Savi, Taylen, Reyd, and Myla; great-grandchildren; Stefan, Shepard, Mia, and Ollie; siblings; Beth Spann (Claude), Bobby Parsons (Alice), and Brady Parsons (Kristy); and numerous nieces and nephews.  He is also survived by his four-legged best friend, Rosy.

Billy, the gentle, stubborn giant was a great man that would do anything for anyone, especially his momma, children, and grandchildren.  He enjoyed driving his 18-wheeler and the school bus.  Billy had a great sense of humor and he left everyone with a smile.  The “Jet flying, limousine riding”, Billy, was the king of dad jokes.  Along with his humor, he had a huge heart and a very kind soul.  Above all this, Billy loved his Lord and Savior.

Billy will be immensely missed by all those who loved him.

A service will be held, Thursday, August 10, 2023 at Temple Hill Baptist Church, at 3:00 PM with Preacher Darryl Hatchell officiating, a visitation for family and friends will be held an hour prior at 2:00 PM.
