Willard Woody

Lenoir, NC- Mr. Willard “Woody” Woody, age 69, of Lenoir, died Thursday, May 28, 2009 in Lenoir Health Care Center. Born April 13, 1940 in Caldwell County, Mr. Woody was a son of the late John and Mae Woods Woody and the husband of Doris Spears Woody.Mr. Woody was retired from Fairfield Chair. He enjoyed auctions, cars and raising goats and rabbits. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Zelma Robertson and one brother Herbert Woody and wife Norma Lee. Surviving other than his wife is his daughter, Lisa Woody Sanders and husband Lee of Lenoir; 4 sisters, Geneva Kincaid and husband Jack of Hudson; Elaine McDonald and husband Steve of Lenoir; Jeanette Haire of Lenoir; Carolyn Anderson and husband Richard of Lenoir, one brother, Truman Woody and wife Pearlean of Lenoir; 3 grandchildren, Jason Triplett, Ashley Triplett and D.J. Sweet, all of Lenoir and 4 great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be conducted 11:00 AM Saturday, May 30, 2009 at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens with Reverend Charles Lingle officiating.
