Willanna Ruckman Birtwistle

Willanna Birtwistle Lenoir – Mrs. Willanna Katherine Ruckman Birtwistle, age 86, went home to be with her Lord on Tuesday, November 11, 2014 at Carolina Rehab of Burke. She was born in Toledo, OH on July 3, 1928 to the late Charles Dewey Ruckman and Bernice Brock Ruckman. Mrs. Birtwistle was a member of Whitnel Pentecostal Holiness Church where she was active in the JOY Ministries. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Edmund; three brothers, Robert Ruckman, Russell Ruckman, and Raymond Ruckman; and her sister, Marilyn Batts. Mrs. Birtwistle is survived by her daughters, Cynthia Laurens and husband, Richard; Kim Birtwistle; Laurie Severt and husband, Bart; Terri Perkins and husband, Tim; sisters, Naomi Struffolino of Ohio and Carole Struffolino and husband, Cliff of Florida; brother, Richard Ruckman of Ohio; eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. A memorial service for Mrs. Birtwistle will be held at Whitnel Pentecostal Holiness Church on Sunday, November 16, 2014 at 6:00 PM with Pastor Keith Gilliam and Pastor David Crisp officiating. The family will have a time of fellowship immediately following the service.
