Wayne E. Miller

Lenoir, NC- Wayne Eugene Miller, age 74, of Lenoir, passed away on Friday, June 15, 2012 at Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care in Hudson. Born February 13, 1938 in Caldwell County, Wayne was a son of the late Benjamin McCoy and Ruth Austin Miller. Wayne was Baptist by faith and was a member of the Faith Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Cynthia Marie Miller; two brothers, Paul Miller and Garry Miller; and a nephew, Paul Dean Miller. Survivors include his wife of 33 years, Rita Miller of the Home; a daughter and son in law, Michele and Derek Mitchell of Hickory; two sons and daughters in law, Michael Dwyane and Sherry Miller of Lenoir, and Timothy and Sarah Robbins of Hudson; two brothers and a sister in law, Larry and Wanda Miller and Howard Miller all of Granite Falls; he is also survived by six grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and numerous other relatives. A celebration of Wayne’s life will be held on Monday, June 18, 2012 in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service at 3:00 PM with Pastor Jerry Lingerfelt and Pastor Ed Warren officiating. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens in Lenoir. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, prior to the service from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
