Wayne Eugene Bayer

Wayne Eugene Bayer, 43, passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, April 26, 2022. Born October 15, 1978 to the late Merle Eugene McCartney and Carol Ann Ritchey. Wayne enjoyed spending time with his family and doing fun things with his children. He loved anything that had to do with cars and working on his truck. Wayne was a Correctional Officer for almost two years, which he was so proud of. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Heather Bayer. Wayne is survived by his loving wife, Jennifer Bayer; his children Elliot, Logan, and Ethan Bayer; his stepmother Donna Ayers; his sisters Melissa Ritchey and Amelia Sneed; his brother Matthew Williams; he is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. A celebration of life will be held at Mountain Grove Church in Granite Falls, NC on Sunday, May 15, 2022 at 3:00pm. Pastor Rita Pritchard will be officiating. The family will receive friends from 2-3 prior to the service.
